Goodlife Access launched operations in 2023 in Rwanda. We work in partnership with others to identify crucial health needs, design interventions, and embed those into sustainable models — all while using data to continually refine our work. Working in Rwanda is an excellent environment for public health: the government has made a long-term commitment to data-driven investments in health and wellness, addressing the root causes of disease, and encouraging the private sector.
Our Approach
We conduct community listening and data reviews to surface the most urgent priorities.
Partners, clinicians, and communities collaborate to build human-centered solutions.
We track outcomes and build the business cases required to sustain and scale.
Programs integrate into public and private delivery channels that endure.
Our Initiatives

Ending the “period poverty” that causes one in five Rwandan girls to miss school.
We partner with community-based organizations to bring together subsidized distribution of pads with education on menstruation and broader sexual & reproductive health.

Stemming the growing burden of NCDs like diabetes & heart disease through early detection.
We provide free screening to hundreds of people each week and collaborate with the Ministry of Health and partners to scale community-level diagnostics, referrals, and chronic care support.

Reaching all 30 districts of Rwanda through new approaches to delivering care.
We are out in the community every day. We develop new models for cost-effective primary care coverage via mobile clinic services, addressing gaps in access among the rural poor.

Shortening the lag time between health innovations and availability in contexts like Rwanda.
We collaborate with product development partners to build a go-to platform for scaling innovations: from low-cost ultrasound, to targeted therapies, to novel point-of-care diagnostics, to AI-enabled case management systems, to deploying new vaccines like RSV.
We are continually building our pipeline of new program areas: mental health, antenatal care, vision, and broader sexual & reproductive health services.
